Goodbye Home

With Goodbye Home, I say goodbye to the house where I lived for 25 years, a place that had been home to generations of my family, including my great-grandparents, grandparents, father, uncles, and aunts.

After the house was sold, allowing me to begin a new chapter closer to nature and love, my uncle gifted me an old family photo album. That album became the starting point for a personal photographic project in which archival images intertwine with new photographs of quiet rooms, evening light, and the subtle traces of my family's history.

Photographing the house helped soften the farewell and gave me the space to slowly bring an emotional chapter of my life to a close.

This is a 3D lithophane my partner made for me using a 3D printer. When a light is placed behind it, the image comes to life and reveals a photograph.
