My Midnight Garden was inspired by a children’s book I read at age eight. In the story, a boy discovers a secret garden at night where time stands still. Years later, a friend found the book again, and it became the spark for this project.
For two years, I hid a wildlife camera in my own backyard to capture moments of nocturnal life. I then developed the images into cyanotypes—imbuing them with a timeless, ethereal quality.
Together with nine other photographers, I was selected by Breedbeeld vzw to further develop this personal photo project, with the goal of culminating in a public exhibition. Breedbeeld is supported by the Flemish government
A heartfelt thanks to @frewood78 for his beautiful woodworking that brought the installation to life.
